Freshman Kristen Sawada led the University of Hawaii at Hilo with a 6-over 78 during Tuesday’s final round, but the Lady Vulcans finished last of 14 teams — most of them Division I — at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic in Kapalua, Maui.

Sawada finished tied for 42nd after posting a 21-over 237 over the three rounds at The Bay Course. Only two other golfers completed the tournament for the Vulcans, who were 151-over. Erika Morihiro (80-90-86) tied for 73rd at 40-over and Nyssa Aoki (90-88-85) was 75th at 47-over.

California’s Daniela Holmqvist closed with a 76 to finish 2-under and claimed medallist honors with a four-stroke victory.

Colorado (25-over) won the team title, finishing two shots ahead of Cal.
